Geomfix Original Epoxy Putty Stick supplies SylCreate’s most popular modelling putty in a combined pre-measured 200g stick rather than separate parts of resin and hardener.
This removes the requirement to measure out two different components before mixing, making Geomfix quicker and easier to use. Simply cut the required amount of putty from the Geomfix Stick, knead it by hand, and shape, form and apply as required.
Geomfix Original is used by model makers, sculptors and restorers. It sets harder than other putties with a ceramic-like quality which makes it perfect for building up bulk. At the same time, it has a fine grain structure for holding detail.
The texture of Geomfix Original means pieces do not come away and it does not crumble. It can be smoothed with a little water and thinned with acetone, enabling the putty to penetrate the finest of cracks when gap filling or restoring.
Geomfix Original has been used to create intricate models of different sizes sizes. It is also popular for repair and restoration tasks because of the similarities it shares with ceramic.
Once mixed, Geomfix has a two-hour work time. A full cure is achieved in 24 hours without the need for heat. Whereas some epoxy modelling putties lose detail after hardening, the toughness of Geomfix allows it to better withstand the curing process.
It has a high-strength bond to materials including metal, most plastics, glass, stone, wood, ceramic, jewellery and fabric. It can be mixed with other modelling putties- such as Green Stuff – to create a putty with unique properties.
Geomfix Original Epoxy Modelling Stick is available in three colours. Standard (sets to off-white), Black or Silver-Grey. Sticks are sold in quantities of 200g, 1kg, 5kg and 10kg. Once cured, Geomfix can be painted, filed, sanded, drilled, tapped and screwed.
