All-purpose epoxy repair putty which sets dark yellow. It is soft to carve and used for scale model making and general DIY repairs

SKU: MILLIPUT-STANDARD Categories: ,

Description

Milliput Standard Epoxy Putty sets to a dark yellow colour and is used for military, railway, farm and ship modelling.

It is a general purpose putty which is easy to carve once set. As well as model making, Milliput Standard can be used in jewellery making, sculpting and picture frame restoration.

Milliput comes as a two-part, cold setting, non shrinking epoxy putty in cartons containing one 56.7gm stick of resin and one 56.7gm of hardener.

The two parts are mixed together in equal quantities, sparking a chemical reaction which turns the soft putty into a rock-hard substance. Whilst soft, it can be shaped, moulded, sculpted and formed.

Milliput hardens in three to four hours depending on room temperature, offering plenty of time to work with the putty. The cure speed can be accelerated with the use of heat.

It cures underwater, is heat-resistant to 130°C and can be smoothed with water. Once fully cured Milliput can be machined, drilled, tapped, turned, filed, sawn, sandpapered and painted.

As well as Milliput Standard, there are five other grades available: Terracotta, Silver Grey, Black, Superfine White and Turquoise Blue. These other grades can be viewed on the Milliput section of our website.

For a harder wearing but equally easy-to-use alternative to Milliput, please see Geomfix Original A+B Modelling Putty. Geomfix Original can be used effectively on fine, delicate work as well as the largest of models or repairs.

There is also the Geomfix Coloured range of modelling epoxy putty available in 23 different colours, matching Swarovski crystals.

Geomfix Coloured is highly customisable. If the colour you require is not listed as one of the 23, then SylCreate have the ability to custom produce a coloured modelling putty to match your requirements. For more information on this service, please contact SylCreate.
