Epoxy Adhesives

Epoxy Adhesives provide high strength, durable and temperature resistant bonds to all materials. Unlike superglues which offer instant adhesion, epoxies take longer to cure. This allows more time for detailed glueing in tricky scale model and restoration applications.

Sylmasta Rapid 5 Minute is a general purpose epoxy which bonds to all materials. It has a five minute cure time. It is used for assemblies and bonding broken items back together in repair and restoration tasks. It sets nearly-clear. Sylmasta Metal Bond Rapid is specifically formulated for bonding metal. It cures to a dark grey colour.

Sylmasta Epoxy Adhesives are available in different sizes and formats. The 25ml syringe features an easy-to-use plunger which pushes the two parts of the epoxy adhesive out in equal measures to be mixed. The 50ml and 200ml cartridges come with a mixer nozzle and require an Applicator Gun to extrude the epoxy. The 500g kit supplies the resin and hardener in separate tubs.

We also sell Hxtal NYL-1 Clear Epoxy Adhesive. Hxtal NYL-1 is a crystal clear epoxy which remains completely transparent once applied, even after a long period of direct light exposure. Its seven day work time makes it suitable for the most intricate of restoration application, enabling parts to be moved and refitted for greater accuracy.
