Milliput Epoxy Putty
Milliput are world leading manufactures of two-party epoxy putty based in Wales. Their putties are used by model makers, restorers, and crafters as well as industrial users as a general purpose repair putty.
It is supplied in 114g cartons, made up of a 56.7 gram stick of resin and a 56.7 gram stick of hardener. When these two sticks are mixed together, a chemical reaction takes place and the soft material starts to turn hard. This takes place over three to four hours at normal temperature (20°C to 25°C). The curing process can be accelerated with the use of heat.
Six grades of coloured Milliput are available. Standard cures to a yellow-grey colour and is a general repair and model making putty suitable for most applications. Terracotta is harder-wearing and designed to withstand outdoor weather better whilst colour-matching brickwork, urns, pottery and other exterior materials that may need repair.
Silver Grey cures to a stone colour and is used in applications where less detail is required Superfine White is the finest grade best at holding more intricate details in model making and for the restoration of ceramic, porcelain and china.
Black is ideal for sculpting a black model or matching a dark surface to be repaired. Turquoise is the latest addition to the range and the first new colour for many years, introduced especially for woodturners.
