UV Glass Adhesives are specially forumlated for bonding and repairing glass. They only cure when exposed to UV light, giving control over the curing process.
Sylmasta UV Adhesives are resistant to ageing, exhibit excellent strength and resist yellowing caused by exposure to the elements.
They are ideal for bonding glass-to-glass, stainless steel, aluminium, steel, ceramics and most plastics. They can withstand the toughest of applications in glass construction, where the glass will fail before the bond.
There are three grades of Sylmasta Glass Bonding Adhesives. Sylmasta UV901 is a low viscosity glass adhesive for applications over larger areas or when deep penetration is required, such as repairing cracked glass.
Sylmasta UV902 is a medium viscosity glue for general bonding of glass and Sylmasta UV903 is a high viscosity, gel-like adhesive for filling in chips, gaps and slivers and vertical applications.
We also sell a 11W UV Lamp, which can be used to cure all three Sylmasta adhesives. The Lamp features a sturdy base and directional arm for full flexibility.
For an epoxy which can be used to repair glass, then please see Hxtal NYL-1 Clear Epoxy. This crystal clear epoxy bonds glass and ceramics and remains completely transparent even after long periods of direct light exposure. It is used by conservation institutions, art museums and glass artists worldwide, including the British Museum who repaired the priceless Portland Vase with Hxtal NYL-1.
